What is the difference between Basic, Pamper Package, and Luxury Suite boarding?

With Basic Boarding your dog stays in a standard kennel, is fed Nutro foods, and is taken to the exercise yard 3 times a day. With Pamper Package boarding, your dog receives all the above plus a daily leash walk, brushing, and treats. With Luxury Suite boarding, your dog receives all the above but stays in a private furnished room with TV and music, will additionally receive a complimentary bath on departure after a 1 week or more stay.

What are your hours?

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 5:30 pm, and Saturday/Sunday 9am - Noon. Hours surrounding the holidays vary, and we are closed (to customers only) on most major holidays.

Do I have to pickup or drop off by a certain time?

No. You are free to pickup or drop off your dog whenever the office is open (see above). We charge for boarding by the night, so as long as you pick up your dog during business hours, you are not charged for your pick up day. When dropping off, it is best if you can drop off before 3pm. This gives your dog(s) time to play a little before dinnertime.

Can we visit and take our dog out?

Yes. You can visit during our office hours and take your dog for outings to the beach, dog park, or for a walk on the bike paths around our facility.

What shots do you require for boarding and daycare?

We require Rabies shots every three years after the initial 1-yr booster, DHLPP and Bordetalla annually. If your vet has different vaccination policies for your dog(s), then let us know.

What do you do in hurricane evacuations?

We will call all owners to check if they are able to pick up their pets. Any pet not picked up will be transported to a kennel out of the evacuation zone. There is a fee associated with this service.

What do I need to do before signing my pet up for boarding / daycare?

We require your name, address, phone number(s), pet’s name, breed, age, color, and sexual status.

How do I make a reservation?

We take reservations by phone (843-681-8354, toll-free 866-680-8354). Boarding and day care are by reservation only and you do not have a reservation until we respond to your request and confirm it.

What kind of dog food do you use?

We feed our boarding dogs an Iams prescription food, at no additional charge.

Can I bring food for my dog?

Yes. We know that some dogs are on prescription or other special diets (or are just plain picky!), and we are happy to accommodate that.

What kind of toys can I bring?

We ask that you not bring tennis balls or toys of a smaller size as they may accidentally fall into our drain and clog our septic system. You are welcome to bring any other types of toys for your dog's stay.

Do you provide bedding?

Yes. We provide blankets for the dogs to sleep on. You are welcome to bring your dog’s own bedding if you wish, but please no towels or blankets (they easily get mixed up with our own).

Can I tour your facility?

Yes we want you to be familiar with our facility and feel good about leaving your pet here. We offer walk-in tours weekdays 10 am - 3 pm. No appointments are necessary. We can accommodate other times by appointment Monday thru Friday, subject to staff availability. This tour is for humans only.

What is your cancellation policy?

For non-holiday reservations, we require 24 hours notice for cancelled reservations. For holidays such as Memorial Day or July 4 we require 72 hours notice; due to the heavy demand for Thanksgiving and Christmas boarding, a one week notice is required.

Is someone there with the dogs overnight?

Not usually. However, a staff member lives in the home attached to the kennel and monitors the facility.

What do you do if a dog gets sick or injured?

We will call the owner concerning the dog’s condition and will take the dog to the vet on site if directed or if we are unable to reach the owner but we believe the dog requires immediate attention.
